1) What StoryPointz is

StoryPointz is a set of lightweight Agile utilities, including a Fibonacci story points calculator and the SprintMate reporting module. These tools are intended to support planning and reporting workflows, not to guarantee outcomes.

2) Free use, ads, and support

StoryPointz modules are free to use. Like any website, StoryPointz has hosting, maintenance, and development costs. To help keep the site available, we kindly ask users to allow Google AdSense ads to be displayed. If you find StoryPointz useful and you’re able to support the project, you may choose to donate via the site’s Donate option (when available).

Donations are optional and do not unlock “guaranteed” features or support unless explicitly stated.

3) No professional advice

Content and outputs from StoryPointz are for informational purposes only. Story points are inherently subjective and should be used as a team conversation tool, not as a precise commitment mechanism. You remain responsible for how you interpret and apply any output.

4) SprintMate files and data

SprintMate may allow you to upload Agile tracking exports (e.g., Jira CSV files) to generate reports. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product UI, uploads are intended to be processed locally in your browser. If future versions introduce server-side processing or storage, this Terms page and the Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Do not upload files that you are not authorized to share, or that contain sensitive personal data unless you have a lawful basis to process it.

5) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the site in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden our infrastructure.
• Attempt to bypass security, access restricted areas, or probe vulnerabilities.
• Use automated scraping or high-volume requests that disrupt the service.
• Use the site for unlawful purposes.

6) Third-party services

StoryPointz uses third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense. Their processing of data (e.g., cookies, device identifiers) is governed by their policies and your settings. See our Privacy Policy for details and opt-out links.

7) Intellectual property

The site design, branding, and original content are owned by StoryPointz / KoolPin Code unless stated otherwise. You may share links to StoryPointz freely. You may not copy or republish the site’s design/content in a misleading way that implies affiliation.

StoryPointz is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.

9) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryPointz and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of the site.

We may update features, modules, and these Terms over time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
